Abstract

This paper provides an overview of one example of the effective utilisation of micro- computers by government agencies and the private sector. The example presented was for the establishment of a comprehensive urban transportation management information system utilizing micro- computer hardware and software, as designed and implemented by the Urban Transportation Branch of Alberta Transportation in 1983 /84.
