Abstract

In recent years, the number of casualties due to traffic accidents has remained high, and there is a critical need for safety technology to protectvulnerable road users. Because of this, Fujitsu has been considering millimeter wave radar as a promising candidate for sensors for vulnerable roadusers. In order to implement millimeter wave radar for detecting vulnerable road users, it is essential to have the detection ability to detect small targets such as pedestrians, motorcycles, and the detection ability to cover the areas such as pedestrian crossings. This paper introduces an overview of the millimeter wave radar developed by Fujitsu.
