Abstract

Engineering plays an important part in many phases of the traffic problem- the design of safe motor vehicles, the planning and design, the construction and maintenance of highways roads and streets, and the solution of many of the problems of traffic control and regulation. There has been much progress but still much remains to be done by engineers in the prevention of accidents and in the efficient and orderly movement of traffic.
