Abstract

By combining the results of research published earlier, some conclusions are drawn regarding the use and safety of both zebra and signalled pedestrian crossings. It appears that a favourable effect of the installation of such crossings will, especially in the case of zebras depend largely on a sparing application, a cautious sitting, and a suitable “outfit” of the crossings.
