Abstract

The major aim of the paper is to demonstrate the usefulness of Jessor s Problem Behaviour Theory in predicting and understanding risky driving. The results support Jessor s proposal that risky driving is indeed a part of a problem behaviour syndrome and that this behaviour syndrome is influenced by both personality and the perceived environment.
