Abstract
Results are highlighted from a 1- year project in which fundamental system design considerations and test hardware related to automotive crash- avoidance radar were investigated. A modified phase monopulse radar technique was chosen for testing because of its angle measuring potential capability.Limited useful performance obtained from this technique was found during testing.
