Abstract

The paper gives a general overview over some applications: Statistical models for the number of road accidents (multiplicative Poisson models, regression models), the gravity model in traffic planning obtained as the solution to certain optimization problems involving probabilities and finally statistical models for highway traffic (Extensions of Carleson's traffic models in particular).
