Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the role of Unsafe Driving Actions (UDA) in accidents at major /minor nodes. An UDA is defined as any action taken by a driver (or, more generally, by any road user) which has a high probability of resulting in an accident. Clearly it will be of benefit if such behaviours can be identified, so that efforts can be made to modify them by means of enforcement, driver training and testing procedures, or continuing driver education.
