Abstract

The objective for "Time to Market" is to shorten the timeframe from laboratory tests to production in a cost effective manner. To achieve this, Swedish National Road Administration and Digital Equipment Corporation have established a technical platform in Gothenburg at the ARENA - Test Site West Sweden, with R&D laboratory at close quarters to production systems. The collaboration between the authorities and the industrial sector has been essential in creating a market for the products parallel to the technical development. As a part of pan-European and international R&D programs, ARENA will also implement and influence ATT standards. (A)
