Abstract

This publication consists of 15 papers that explore interface between asphalt concrete pavements and steel bridge decks, damage and thixotropy in asphalt mixtures, high-performance thin-lift overlays with reclaimed asphalt pavement and warm-mix asphalt technology, 4.75 nominal maximum aggregate size superpave overlay, and therelationship between binder and mixture damage resistance. This issue of the TRR also examines fine-graded permeable friction course, effect of binder types on porous asphalt concrete, impact of water on asphalt aging, testing of crumb rubber–modified binder using dynamic shear rheometer, ultra-rapid-setting emulsion for tack coat applications, stiffness of asphalt treated with surfactant-based warm-mix additive, effect of healing on fatigue law parameters of asphalt binders, emulsion residue testing framework for chip seal performance, chromatic and rheological characteristics of clear road binders, and porous asphalt pavement temperature effects.
