Abstract

These are the Appendices to the Interim Review report. The interim review will focus on procedural arrangements rather than the technical content of the standards. In particular the interim review will assess implementation of the extended administrative requirements introduced in Assessing Fitness to Drive 2003 i.e. the more defined criteria for conditional licences, which were introduced for commercial vehicle drivers and also extended to private vehicle drivers. The review may also address other administrative issues as identified by stakeholders and agreed by NTC and Austroads. The review will provide an opportunity to secure general feedback from the medical profession regarding the implementation of the standards and will therefore provide a sound basis for preparation for the major review scheduled for 2008.
