Abstract

The paper discusses a road-vehicle-driver modeling method in which the driver is basically considered as an ideal controller capable of steering the vehicle in such way, that a certain point connected with the vehicle (preview point) follows the predetermined path (preview point trajectory). The background of this method is described, evaluation criteria are discussed and some results of computations are shown.
