Abstract

A qualitative analysis of the interior background sound pressure level was carried out in this study for the case of a passenger car with McPherson suspension travelling with one front wheel over a poor Macadam road. Results of the computation showed that suspension damping non linearities must be taking into account when analysing the causes of the background noise in real cars.
