Abstract

This report presents the results of a literature analysis into the correlation between visual impairment and traffic safety. Four types of vision tests were considered: Snellen (visual) acuity; visual field; `altered light' tests such as contrast sensitivity, night-time (mesopic) visual acuity and glare sensitivity; and The Useful Field of View-test, a test that combines visual field assessment with attention factors.
