Abstract

A procedure for the assignment of direct buses and feeder buses, such that the total cost is minimized, is presented. The railway zone is determined. Its geometry is shown to flip among various forms when small changes are made in the interstation spacings. However, the railway zone for "optimally" and equally spaced stations is predictable.
