Abstract

The data of the survey presented in this article have been obtained during a survey of road users in Rome, in a situation of relative absence of traffic (night driving). The data seems to indicate that the road users are generally not acquainted sufficiently with the urban topography and capable of evaluating the parameters involved in the path selection. Therefore behaviour characteristics have to be taken into account for an exact definition and calibration of assignment models.
