Abstract

The aim of the paper is to consider the ways in which priority may be given to fire appliances at traffic signals. In general, emergency vehicle priority systems may be considered in two classes. Those applicable at isolated signal inter-sections which do not form a part of any centralized computer system and those with a centralized computer control network.
