Abstract

50 consecutive pedestrians who were victims of road traffic accidents and 50 controls were studied to assess the influence of alcohol in pedestrians involved in accidents and on the severity of the injuries sustained. Details are given of the subjects, methods and results. The results showed that there is a strong positive association between blood alcohol concentrations and road accidents to pedestrians. (A)
