Abstract

Emerging intelligent vehicle-highway systems technology will have a profound on the design of future driver interfaces. A major element of this technology is the development of advanced driver information systems. A series of three experiments were conducted to investigate basic human factors issues relating to the design and use of auxiliary in-vehicle displays.
