Abstract

This paper deals with a Nordic study into both speed adaptation and factors affecting drivers' speed adaptation. The results of the study show that many drivers' speed adaptation is influenced by other drivers. Drivers usually overestimate the speed of other drivers. In spite of the fact that most drivers accept the speed limits, more than 50% of the drivers exceed the limit.
