Abstract

Under a $7 million contract, SAAB ITS Pty. Ltd. is supplying and installing an intelligent transport system for public transport in Auckland City. The very complex technical aspects of this project challenged the contractor to create solutions that would meet the performance specification of the contract. This paper outlines the steps leading, it is hoped to the operation of the first stage of Auckland’s Signal Pre-emption and Real Time Passenger Information System later this year.
