Abstract

The project AUSIAS (ATT in Urban Sites with Integration And Standardisation) aims at demonstrating how the integration of the Intelligent Transport Systems coexisting in European cities can improve the transport and mobility conditions of the citizens. To carry out this demonstration, the city of Valencia (Spain) has been selected. Within the three years of the project, the first one - 1996 - was devoted to identifying the user requirements and system specifications. During 1997 the demonstrator developments are taking place and finally, in 1998, the demonstration and evaluation will be carried out. The progress achieved so far, including the main expected project impacts, are reported in this paper.
