Abstract

In earlier times ill or disabled persons were usually refused for application of a driving license, because the technical possibilities of the vehicle-adaptation were very limited. Today's practice of judgment is quite different. The insecurity of an ill person at the wheel is less depending on the prejudice in health rather than on his attitude towards his disease and on his character. This must especially be taken into consideration during a medical evaluation.
