Abstract

In the new policy for making residential areas ideal for their inhabitants so that they can walk or cycle without the disturbance of motor-traffic, the motor traffic must be adapted to this policy. It is concluded that the car must not disappear from such areas, but they must lose their dominant position, if such position should exist.
