Abstract

The hypothesis that the use of safety belts was about 50% was not justified. From the interview was shown that 63.5% of drivers inside built-up areas use their safety belt. About 33% of the belt wearers use their belt not correctly. Correct belt use is for inside built-up areas 42.1% and for outside built up areas 57.1%. More than 80% of the interviewed persons wanted a uniform locking of the belts. A very short trip less than 10 km influences the belt use disadvantageous.
