Abstract

Autoguide is the name in Britain for an in- vehicle, electronic route guidance system that responds to traffic conditions. It gives drivers recommended routes to their destination using information transmitted to the car by roadside beacons linked to a central control. Autoguide advice is based on information derived from other equipped vehicles about changing traffic conditions.
