Automatic speed control : the Danish pilot project.

Abstract

An automatic speed control pilot project was carried out in Copenhagen metropolitan area and the Odense area, Denmark. Law enforcement is carried out by police using radar speed measurement and photography of offending vehicles. Printed and internet publicity is used to warn potential offenders. Speed reductions of up to 5km/h were measured in the study areas compared with control areas. The financing of the project is described. For the covering abstract see ITRD E123863.
