Abstract
Better use of existing infrastructure is one of the key elements in the national transport structure plan of the Netherlands. Feasibility studies with several advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is described, including a pilot study, lane departure warning system, automatic cruise control and intelligent speed adaptation. Conclusions and recommendations from the feasibility studies are presented.
