These papers present the first measurement results of a series of automobile dynamic tests carried out by a Swiss test station. In the first test the centre of gravity, and the moment of inertia of the mass of 51 different car types are determined. In the second test a Volvo (121) 1967 is used to investigate the braking distance on different carriageways using different tyre types. In the third test a Bedford truck is used to determine the adhesion values of and lateral forces on different tyre types; the tests are carried out on different types of carriageways.
