Abstract

The booklet presents a brief review of the protection given by fastened safety belts to vehicle occupants in a collision. Sections of the booklet briefly discuss what happens to vehicle occupants during a collision, the protection offered by safety belts and their ease of use, the protection of children, and, the use of publicity and personal example in increasing safety belt usage.
