Abstract

Various relationships that determine the emissions of various pollutants from vehicle, the consequential dispersal of these emissions in the atmosphere, and finally the levels of concentration of pollutants in urban areas, are outlined. These relationships are formulated in a model appropriate for system analysis, and the availability of data to quantify and operate the model is assessed.
