Abstract

The book introduces the terminology and concepts relating to human anatomy and injury. Also discussed are types of injuries by body region and the mechanisms thought to cause them. Based on a series of lectures, presented by the author, the text of the book is divided into four chapters: (1) Terminology; (2) Anatomy and injury; (3) Injury scaling; and (4) Regulation and testing. Appendices provide copies of various safety laws and regulatory-related documents referred to in the text.
