Abstract

A pro.gen working group has carried out the assessment of the autonomous intelligent cruise control (AICC). This paper will first of all define the AICC system concept giving special attention to the objectives, requirements and control strategies adopted. A brief review of the basic operational issues is then presented. The method of evaluation and the assessment results are then provided. (A)
