Abstract

Problems of aviation continue to be a very important field of interest for psychologists.These studies originated from recent research work and psychological and psychiatric prac tice in Great-Britain,France,W-Germany,Sweden,Denmark,and theNetherlands.The results reported are of importance with regard to human factor aspects in both civilian and milita- ry flying.l'he themes touched on are Accident Liability and Accident l)revention,'l'raining and Assessment of 'l'raining Ach ievement,Selection methods.Psychological Correlates of Hypo- xia-stress Tolerance and Presentation of information to the pilot.There exists an obvious similarity between human fact tors in aviation and in several other areas of activity, in which control-performance is of great significance.
