Abstract

This study considers how Trafficlink pair conventional journalistic principles for data collection with new ITS derived data, using open platforms for data exchange. It shows how this enables consistent information for customers that meets their needs. It is demonstrated how an item of traffic "news", previously only heard on radio, is now available across the globe,to both human ears and to other systems and services. It compares data transfer in 1996, 2006 and the potential in 2016. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
