Abstract

Preliminary research initiatives discussed are based on three assumptions (1) the programming envisaged is established to meet the needs of one particular region; (2) the problem can be approached by a planned series of incremental steps; (3) need for establishing the current recidivism rate to facilitate later evaluation of program effectiveness. Details are given of an "opinion questionnaire" which should be filled by people having particularly good knowledge of the local impaired driving scene.
