Abstract

The Bangkok research project studied some of the fundamental characteristics of the severe traffic congestion in Bangkok. It involved surveys of traffic speed, flow, composition and vehicle occupancy, the results of which were used to derive speed /flow and traffic density characteristics and to assess the efficiency of each road considered in terms of its passenger carrying ability. g
