Participation in traffic is not only difficult, it is also dangerous. A society which does not prepare itself for this has no future. The dutch concept-bill on education in the secondary schools is at the time of writing under discussion, and the question being considered is whether traffic education should be integrated in the normal lessons because it provides the starting point for a more controlled traffic participation at a vulnerable age and a better traffic behaviour now and in the future. Furthermore the report contained a plea for permanent traffic education.
