Abstract

This paper describes a freeway model. Chapter II is devoted to describing the model structure and the simplifying assumptions made concerning traffic and freeway characteristics. Chapter III gives a detailed description of the operation of the computer program and instructions for preparing input data. Chapter IV contains the work which was done to verify that the computer program was operating as desired. Chapter V discusses suggested procedures which were actually used in applying the completed freeway model to a particular section of freeway.
