Behavioral decision theory : processes of judgement and choice.

This review has tried to place behavioural decision theory within a broad psychological context, and in doing so we have emphasized the importance of attention, memory, cognitive repPB 21813 fo /91/ IRRD 260016resentation, conflict, learning, and feedback. Moreover, the interdependence and coordination of these processes suggest important challenges for understanding complex decision making. In order to meet these, future research must adopt a broader perspective (of Carroll 1980) by not only investigating the topics discussed here, but also those not usually treated in the decision literature (e.g. creativity, problem solving, concept formation, etc.). indeed, given the ubiquity and importance of judgement and choice, no less a perspective will do.
