Abstract

Results of an analysis of cyclists'behaviour at intersections are presented. In the analysis, normative and observed behaviour of cyclists were compared and a measure of agreement determined. The aim of this study was to investigate (1) the influence of situational characteristics of intersections on the behaviour of cyclists and (2) the relationship between personal characteristics of cyclists (e.g. age, experience) and their behaviour.
