Abstract

Car mobility causes more and more problems with respect to environment and congestion. Therefore, steering of mobility has become a policy- objective, and effective policy- measures are looked for. Recent research shows that the proportion of commuters to be influenced by general policy- measures decreases more and more. In this paper the contribution of social psychology to the understanding of transport behavior and to the development of measures aimed at influencing transport behavior is considered.
