Abstract

Behavioural experts and policy makers take each different sides in the field of influence and social change, making cooperation less than optimal. While behavioural experts like to think that policy makers do a poor job at translating principals into practice, policy makers say that behavioural experts do not give enough practical information to do a better job. The reason for this mis-communication is the difference both parties emphasize on the constituents of the process of change of the behaviour. Both parties should have a mutual understanding in this process. Therefore behavioural experts should try to put themselves in the spot of the policy makers, while policy makers should try to put themselves in the spot of their subjects. (A)
