Abstract
For traffic investigations, traffic engineers often install roadside interview stations in order to stop a sample of vehicles and to interview the drivers. As a result long queues sometimes develop. In this paper the analytic approximations to the queueing problems are compared with the solutions of a specially developed event- oriented simulation model. The results show a large degree of correspondence.
