Abstract

This paper focuses on applications for car mobile communications that take advantage of features of dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) and the development of on-board equipment (OBE) and roadside equipment that are incorporated with a general-purpose interface in order to help promote DSRC-applied information services. Generally, the major features of two-way DSRC are a high data rate, high reliability and a dedicated short-range communication area. The antenna controller and OBE with a general-purpose interface developed by DENSO CORPORATION have enabled an environment where application developers can actually confirm the effectiveness of applications.
