A study has been performed to determine reliable deterrence functions for intra- regional trips, based on OVG- data of 14 urban areas. For estimation of the deterrence functions, the weighted multi proportional Poisson model has been used. The deterrence functions are estimated for four different transportation modes in combination with four classes of car- ownership. The analyses show that the deterrence functions for each group of car- ownership resemble the deterrence functions for the total group.
