Abstract

One of the objectives of the Dutch project described in this report was to formulate a plan to result in an optimal set of real numbers of road accident victims. A second objective of this project was the evaluation of the estimation method that was applied for determining the real numbers of hospital in-patients, in order to be able to optimize the method. A third and final objective of the project consisted of the formulation of procedures for the period up to the realisation of SAVOG (Structural and Additional Gathering of Road Accident Data). The aim is that the activities that take place in the framework of the realisation of SAVOG do not influence the quality of the real numbers.
