Abstract

Concrete safety fences were built in the Federal Republic of Germany (3700 m) according to the VS New-Jersey-system. Trials were done in the USA and France in the sixties and the praxis later on with erected fences there and in Belgium showed positive results, The damages to the fences were slight. The rest of the article gives information on the construction methods and shows also a list of conditions under which this type of fence should be created.
