Abstract

Making traffic forecasts it is desirable to make the uncertainties and errors explicit. The errors of the basic data propagate through the transportation planning models. The variance of the regression coefficients of the trip-end model is proportional to the variance of the population part and inverse proportional to the independent variables of the surveyed zones. Last variance together with the variance of the independent variables propagates in the trip-end computation.
