Abstract

This report gives a short review on physiology of motion perception as well as the resulting requirements for motion simulation. Several examples of simulators are used to point out the necessity of adapting simulation capabilities to specific research and for training problems. The problem of interactions between visual and motion cues is also demonstrated, and some examples of biocybernetics illustrate the processing of cues in man.
